ITSAM

ITSAM in Sweden is an public sector organisation formed to provide IT support and services to educational establishments across 6 different municipalities. With unique desktops you get unique problems, so ITSAM implemented VMware View so that they could easily replicate desktops to hundreds of students. This has enabled their end users to access their desktops from any location at anytime. It has also enabled teachers to easily provide additional applications to support students that need extra tuition enabling the students to work on these from home. ITSAM have recently started a proof of concept with Horizon, to enable them to manage their applications more efficiently.

“The benefit to the end users is that they can access their own desktop from any client around the world, it does n’t matter where they are. Also the school can make sure they provide the correct applications to the right students at all times.”
