VMware Solution Exchange (VSX)
What Is the VMware Solution Exchange (VSX)?
The VMware Solution Exchange (VSX) is a socially-enabled virtualization and cloud marketplace where VMware partners and developers use a self-service portal to publish rich marketing content and downloadable software. Examples include demos, screenshots, videos, and joint whitepapers, as well as virtual appliances, vCO plug-ins, vC Ops adapters, application blueprints and information describing complex enterprise solutions. Customers can then research solutions, contact partners for more information, and download available software. In its first year of operation, the VSX received more than 2 million unique visitors, and has become a valuable source of leads for partners who build technologies that complement, integrate or interoperate with VMware’s portfolio of products.
Program Levels & Requirements
The opportunity to publish on the VSX is available to all authorized VMware Technology Alliance Partner Program (TAP) members, as well as to select VMware Consulting and Integration Partners and vCloud Datacenter or vCloud Powered Service Providers. Individual developers may be approved to publish virtual appliances, vApps or vFabric Application Director blueprints upon request.
