openSUSE 10.3 beta1 - bagvapp

Based on 1CD version released 9th Aug. 2007 - with VMwareTools 6.0.0-45731 installed

Kernel 2.6.22.1-16.i586
Desktop: KDE 3.5.7 (KDE 4 beta basics available)
Filesystem: ext3
Release date: 9th August 2007
Ranking: 3 on Distrowatch.

Virtual machine config:
Virtual disk: 6GB
Space on disk: 3.5GB
Networking: NAT
Resolution: 1200x900

Tested on:
- XPC Shuttle FB75 with Intel 875P (P4HT) 3066Mhz
- Acer Ferrari 3200 AMD Mobile 64 +2800
- 2GB RAM / 1.25GB RAM (Acer)
- XPSP2 Pro/VISTA Ultimate with VMwarePlayer 2.0

Following tested and works:
- USB Mouse, USB Pendrive, USB Printer
- Sound (vmware ensonic driver)
- Video (Firefox with mplayerplug-in)
- Internet (network: eth/dhcp)***
- Cut n' Paste between Host/Guest installed but due to a
bug in this beta distro it is not working properly.

Applications installed:
Basic/full with the following additions and changes: Kernel-source, kernel-syms installed plus all compiling utilities. Adobe flash-plugin, Mplayer and mplayer-plugin installed. SMART and SMART GUI package management as well as the Packman Repository are added to this appliance Firewall is disabled. More info here: http://en.opensuse.org/Development_Version - This is a beta version and there are some rough edges and bugs (se list on the home pages), however over-all it works well. KDE 4 basic can be tested if you wish.
