JumpBox for OpenLDAP

OpenLDAP is a mature LDAP directory server suitable for managing users and resources across a large network.

Description

The JumpBox for OpenLDAP will help get you started doing centralized LDAP-based authentication, centralized contact sharing and provide general directory services. It includes the phpLDAPadmin web based LDAP management tool to simplify the task of managing your LDAP directory. The JumpBox for OpenLDAP is currently available as an experimental release through the JumpBox Proving Grounds.

All JumpBox appliances include a friendly web based configuration tool that guides you through the setup process for the application. There's no need to touch a command line to have a basic install of the application running.

When you log into OpenLDAP, use the user "cn=admin,o=directory" with the password you provide during initial setup. The distribution also contains a README.txt file that provides a little more detail about usage.

JumpBox appliances are updated on a regular basis with the latest operating system and application fixes. This appliance is running on the JumpBox platform 1.0.3.

See RELEASE-NOTES.txt in the download for more detail on the changes and a list of known issues with this release.

The easy to use JumpBox experience is available for a growing selection of applications.

We also recently rolled out the JumpBox Proving Grounds to bring out new JumpBoxes more rapidly. Membership in the Proving Grounds requires approval, but you can request access by visiting http://www.jumpbox.net. The following applications are available as JumpBoxes through the Proving Grounds.
