Web Interface for managing Nessus Vulnerability Scans and results

Nessus is a powerful Vulnerability Assessment utility. Out of the box, there is limited support for centralizing scans and scan data. The MiniVM Appliance is working to solve this limitation by providing a centralized web interface for scans and reports. Users can create both vulnerability scans and discovery scans from the web interface. All scan results are then loaded into the web interface for later analysis and management by IT staff. Future vulnerability scans can be conducted using the results of previous scans. These types of vulnerability are referred to as Differential scans in the MiniVM. These Differential scans compare ignored and false positive results defined in the previous scan. These results are then automatically marked false positive or ignored in the new scan so that they are not visible in the default scan results view.
