Wordpress is the leading Open Source blogging platform that has rocketed to popularity thanks to its open design and powerful feature set. An extremely popular Open Source application, Wordpress is used extensively around the world. As far as Open Source web software goes it’s known as being fairly easy to install, but it’s only easy if you already have a full LAMP deployment stack at your disposal. The JumpBox for Wordpress contains everything required, there’s no worrying about creating a database or installing PHP. Simply download and run. This JumpBox bundles Wordpress 2.6.

JumpBox provides very simple to use virtual appliances based around Open Source software. Any JumpBox will run on VMWare as well as Parallels Desktop and Server, Microsoft Virtual PC, Microsoft Virtual Server, Virtual Iron and Xen Open Source.

A JumpBox requires one quick step of configuration via a web browser with no need to touch a command line. Each JumpBox also includes a simple web based management interface that includes the JumpBox Backup System. The JumpBox Backup System allows you to export the state of the JumpBox to NFS, Windows File Sharing or Amazon S3 (This provides a really easy offsite backup).

When you log into the application use the user "admin" with the password you provide during initial setup. The distribution also contains a README.txt file that provides a little more detail about usage.

JumpBox appliances are updated on a regular basis with the latest operating system and application fixes.
