Description:
1. SPONTS is an email proxy that features
- Anti-Spam, Anti-Virus
- Online backup
- Emergency access to queue
- Journaling of emails
- Lawful interception
German email providers are required to have a solution for lawful interception. With this VMWare image, providers can easily evaluate the product without the need to set up a separate server.
2. We copied the files from the appliance into the virtual machine and made it bootable. It behaves exactly as if you run the appliance. No special optimization was necessary.
3. Login as 'setup' and enter the necessary data. The machine will reboot and you can access the Web-GUI via HTTPS on port 8443. Use the 'admin login' on the bottom and the password you entered on setup to login. Documentation can be found on http://www.sponts.de/handbuch.jsp in German only. The web gui can be switched from German to English. The lawful interception complies with German regulations and therefore it is in German only.
