Description

vSphere Management Assistant (vMA) is a virtual machine for running scripts and agents to manage ESX and ESXi and vCenter Server systems (ESX/ESXi 3.5 Update 2 or later, ESX/ESXi 4, or vCenter Server 4). vMA includes the latest versions of vSphere CLI, vSphere SDK for Perl, SMI-S, VMware Tools, a logging component, and an authentication component that supports non-interactive login. You can use vMA to perform many of the tasks commonly performed in the ESX service console.

When you use the vSphere Client to deploy vMA as a virtual appliance, you can enter the following URL in the "Import from URL" field of the "Deploy OVF Template" wizard: http://www.vmware.com/go/importvma/vma4.ovf
