Description:
1. This is the easiest way to get most out of your Benefon GSM/GPS phone / phones. You can track phones remotely just using your browser. All server stuff is redefined and you do not need to be a unix guru to use this software. Security is also been taken care of - only ssh and http ports are open.
2. Bridge is built using perl. All communications between bridge and outside world is thru gnokii nokia phone application that uses serial port or infrared when communicating between computer and a phone. This appliance is a base debian installation plus apache webserver, a firewall, perl, and gnokii. If one needs to have https protocol when using this thru internet, apache website has good documentations for that, all needed sofware is already installed. I did not setup https because of the sertificate (who trusts me? :-)
3. Bridge.zip file has 2 subdirectories: doc and vm, well, in doc there is documentation and in vm there is the virtual machine itself. Just unzip bridge.zip, read documentation, do changes in propertyfiles as instructed and start playing with it. (I have done this in Linux environment, windows environment is different, all devices are named differently etc...)
4. All my work is GPL like Debian itself.
