Online Learning Appliance Suite - All In One (OLAS-AIO) A standalone Virtual Appliance and/or part of the Online Learning Appliance Suite (OLAS) by Farren Constable, May 24, 2006 Please reference the "Online Learning Appliance Suite info.txt" file for more information first. Then, ignore the part about why I put each component of the Suite into separate VM's. At the last minute, I decided to build one VM that has all of the components, except for ILIAS. I will bundle the doc files from each of the components with this VM which you can read for more detailed information about each package. The info in this file, when different, supercedes those files. The primary differences being that each component is in its own folder under htdocs instead of being in the root of htdocs. Some of the default admin accounts and passwords may also be slightly different. This VM contains all of the following packages: Moodle: A very robust Learning Management System (LMS) iFolder: A file sharing/replication/collaboration system from Novell MediaWiki: A very popular Wiki server (powers wikipedia) phpBB: A very powerful and easy to use bulletin board system php-fusion: A powerful content management system (CMS) This Online Learning Appliance is everything you need to teach classes online. Please reference each product's web site for details about that product. Usage: power up the VM, determine its IP address (log in as root with 'teach' as the password, issue an 'ifconfig' command), and then point a browser to that IP address. This AIO Server is built on Open SuSE 10.0 from opensuse.org. The root password is 'teach'.
