Description:
Network and System Monitor
Appliance designed for network and system monitoring incudes discovery, and notification.
About NS/mon:
Nsmon is an appliance designed specifically for network/system monitoring. Being a virtual machine it is easily transportable from site to site. It would be an excellent tool for consultants who need an easy way to discover, monitor and troubleshoot networks and systems.
The benefits are quick and easy setup as well as easily configurable discovery of the network environment that include all the power of the Nagios monitoring system. Just like in any Nagios based system you can monitor important system statistics like your filesystem usage.
It also provides notification of important warnings.
The appliance is intended to help network or system administrators by providing a low cost alternative for the monitoring of their systems up/down status along with alot more.
NSmon is unique because in addition to the normal Nagios component for monitoring the Groundwork Opensource application provides a consistent user interface that provides among other things dicovery of the network environment.
Anyone can run this if the would like to be able to quickly get a visual represnetation of their netowrk environment. Some screen shots can be seen below. Click below for larger view.
