Description:
1. This appliance hosts the great Nagios tool, which monitors your network. It works out of the box, the configuration of your net has to be configured.
2. The appliance is based on the Nagios-On-CD project. This project is maintained from Wolfgang Barth. His CD ISO- File boots when you switch on the appliance. Because of this architecture, his you participate of his updates, so you only have to (virtually) change the CD-ROM. The other files are your configuration (and mine) in the (virtual) etc harddrive. I build var harddrive as additional file (for logging and so on) and an opt harddrive for your extensions. Nagios-on-cd bases on Nagios 2.2 and uses Debian 3.1.
3. Detailed instructions to start using the Appliance are to find under www.nagios-on-cd.org.
