Plixio XML Filter

Provides XML scanning and filtering for web services.

Description

Processing XML data is fundamental to today's business applications. Whether scanning data for security purposes, content-based routing, data extraction, validation, or other purposes, a feature-rich XML development tool is essential for rapidly developing re-usable and scalable XML-applications. Plixio is an "XML Processing Platform": a framework of extensible utilities for efficient programming of Web services, SOAs and rich-client applications such as Ajax. Using policy-based API's, developers can manipulate XML messages and transactions using data extraction, pattern recognition, SQL Injection detection, content-based routing, data filtering/storage, virus scanning, WSSE header processing, XSD validation and SOAP request validation.

Plixio relies on streaming XML data to minimize latency and memory usage. Additionally, Plixio employs threading and pooling mechanisms to maximize performance, reliability and scalable applications to sustain extreme load. Plixio can service a variety of XML data processing tasks right out-of-the-box and offers a Graphical User Interface to manage policies and monitor activity with statistical and historical views.

As XML and SOAP become pervasive within consumer & enterprise applications a lightweight and optimized XML processing solution will be needed. Plixio can be used as a library of API's or an XML Proxy over any transport protocol. It is ideal for Web 2.0 and AJAX applications that require additional handling of XML traffic.

Companies can use the Plixio XML Filter as:

1. An XML firewall: protecting Application and Database Servers from malicious content resident in messages formatted in XML 1.0, SOAP 1.1/1.2 and OASIS WS-Security
specifications
2. An XML router: re-directing and coordinating the movement of XML messages based on the context of a transaction or the intended recipient
3. XML Processor: offloading and managing computational workloads from Application Servers
