Description:
It is a web browser appliance with a minimal set of programs installed. Comes with just Firefox but has options on the menu to install and use the Mozilla browser and Opera.
I did a minimal FreeBSD installation with Xorg. Then in installed a few select components of Xfce. I customized the Xfce menu and the FreeBSD startup routine. I wrote a couple of small shell scripts to handle functions like restarting, shuting down, changing resolutions, and installing additional programs.
The Appliance boots directly into the GUI with Firefox loaded. Right click on the desktop to display the menu. Password for 'root' and 'browser' accounts is "browser", but shouldn't be needed.
