This virtual appliance is a local version of the Instalinux.com website that can be customized as needed.

Although folks have been mostly happy with the instalinux.com web site, a few issues have cropped up that have been tough for us to find a way around. For example, its difficult for us to have everyone's favorite mirror listed as an option. And we haven't found an easy way to let you specify your own. This is a particular problem for folks with internal mirrors of RHEL or SLES, distributions that Instalinux is capable of installing, but which don't show up as options since there are no public mirrors. Enter Instalinux2Go. We created a virtual appliance, with most of the instalinux.com content.

The web content is in /var/www (with cgi's in /usr/lib/cgi-bin and a few libraries in /usr/local/lib/LinuxCOE - neither of which should need to be changed).

Customization happens by editing the /var/www/linuxcoe.rc file. Users can add add OSVEND lines like the following:
OSVEND archive.ubuntu.com Ubuntu Dapper i386 HTTP /ubuntu/

The VM is set up to support Ubuntu, Kubuntu, RHEL, SLES, Fedora, CentOS. SuSE, and Debian installs.
