Pastebin Appliance is a virtual appliance that is easy to mange and runs an instance of pastebin, similar to pastebin.com. Pastebin is a useful collaboration tool that provides users with a central place to paste text or source code for others to view.

A common example of this is when collaborating remotely you don't want to paste large amounts of text into an IM window or IRC, as this is generally frowned apon. Pastebin gives you somewhere to paste this text that everyone can read. Then you can just provide a short URL in IM or IRC for other interestd users.

To manage the system, Pastebin Appliance provides the rPath Appliance Agent or rAA. Through rAA you can managed networking, update the machine, check system information, schedule a reboot, etc. The rAA management interface can be accessed at https://$hostname:8003. The initial user information is provided on the management page.

To get started with your instance of the Pastebin Appliance just boot it and point your web browser at port 80 on your virtual machine.
