Features

The Marketcetera Appliance consists of the pre-configured server-side components of the Marketcetera Platform. It comes with the Order Management system setup to start at boot, along with Tradebase, the web-based reporting application.

To test out the appliance one needs to register to obtain a unique senderCompID, download Photon (order entry tool) from http://trac.marketcetera.org/trac.fcgi/wiki/Marketcetera/Download and configure Photon to point to the appliance (type ifconfig at logon prompt to get the IP address to connect to with Photon). See more info how to modify the OMS to connect to the exchange simulator: http://trac.marketcetera.org/trac.fcgi/wiki/Marketcetera/Appliance#ApplianceConfiguration

Once the OMS is modified and restarted, you can connect to it with Photon and start trading against the stocks listed on the exchange simulator at http://exchange.marketcetera.com/marketDisplay

The tradebase should be accessible at http://[applianceIP_address]:3000
