Arkeia Network Backup is an enterprise class backup solution enabling to backup heterogeneous operating systems (Windows, Linux, UNIX, Novell Netware, Mas OS, BSD). The virtual Appliance allow you to discover the powerful features of the product. Hot backup plug-ins for Oracle, MySQL, MS-SQL, MS-Exchange, PostgreSQL, Lotus, LDAP, Disaster Recovery modules and other options (SAN support, Remote Drive Management...) for Linux or Windows can be added for testing upon request after registering on our website at http://www.arkeia.com/products/arkeianetworkbackup/testdrive.php. The Virtual Appliance is running the version 6 of Arkeia including some brand new features such as: Advanced SAN Support - Media Server for SAN (MSS) option enables LAN-free backup for SAN environments. MSS will help to ease network congestion, allow dynamic sharing of SAN attached storage devices and will optimize SAN investments by allowing direct SAN connectivity of servers with critical data and of storage devices such as tape libraries. Remote Drive Management - Remote Drive Management (RDM) for LANs and WANs to centralize the management of remote servers & networks and to consolidate and share drives across the LAN. RDM also features enhanced support for remote/stand alone Windows servers. Disk-to-Disk-to-Tape - Innovative Disk-to-Disk-to-Tape (D2D2T) option to shorten backup and restore times and to create granular tiered storage policies. Integrated Virtual Tape Library – Integrated Virtual Tape Library (VTL) option to leverage the performance and flexibility of disk technology and with 1 TB.
