About CacheGuard: Today a Web Browser is one of the major tools found in a Personal Computer. Accessing the Web is a daily activity in the World. Every day, thousands of new applications are available on the Web. Ordering a Pizza, Translating English to French, or Finding a Friend could be useful services found on the Web. But unfortunately, there are also potentially harmful environments on the Web! Children accessing Adult ites, exposure to Intrusions and Wasting your precious Internet Bandwidth on unwanted objects are just a few problems that a CacheGuard Appliance can remedy. An Integrated Solution: First of all CacheGuard is an HTTP, HTTPS and FTP Proxy. In addition it integrates numerous additional services to optimize Web Traffics (Web oriented firewall with NAT & PAT, URL Filtering, QoS management...). Integrating numerous services in a single Black Box eases the implementation work in a complex target network and improves performances. Why an Appliance? Setting up a Web proxy like CacheGuard by integrating Software and Adequate Hardware requires Time, Money, and System, Network and Security engineering Know-How. CacheGuard Appliance is the result of 5 years of Research & Development by a team of Experienced Engineers. Why not benefit from this experience rather than Setting up your own Appliance? CacheGuard will save you Time and Money. In addition, since a CacheGuard is configured to match your needs, the Intelligent Embedded CacheGuard Operating System will manage it automatically. Operations like LOG backups or Blacklist Updates could be done using your favourite Task Scheduler and the SSH interface. Easy Implementation : For a simple implementation (small business), all you need is an Internet Connection through a router or similar equipment. A CacheGuard has two Network Interfaces, an external (Untrusted) and an internal (Trusted) interface. Set the IP addresses for these interfaces, connect the External Interface to your Internet router and the Internal Interface to your LAN and you have implemented about 50% of the installation of a CacheGuard Appliance. We have used all our Know-How to provide an easy to use configuration interface with roughly 30 commands (or equivalent Web Pages using HTTPS). For a more sophisticated implementation (medium & large business) you will probably need Network Engineering Services for better integration to your Information System. For this task, you can choose one of our referenced partners.
