MediaWiki is a powerful wiki engine originally developed for the Wikipedia project and now deployed on many sites around the world. This JumpBox includes MediaWiki version 1.9.3.All JumpBox appliances include a friendly web based configuration tool that guides you through the setup process for the application. There's no need to touch a command line to have a basic install of the application running.When you log into MediaWiki use the user "admin" with the password you provide during initial setup. The distribution also contains a README.txt file that provides a little more detail about usage.JumpBox appliances are updated on a regular basis with the latest operating system and application fixes. This appliance is running on the JumpBox platform 1.0 Release Candidate 1.Changes in this release include:

  • The amount of screen real estate taken by the JumpBox navigation has been reduced
  • The navigation can now be easily removed after the JumpBox is registered.
  • A tool was added to the JumpBox Administration UI to enable configuration of proxy server settings.
  • The JumpBox Administration UI has been redesigned to have a cleaner look.
