Great Firewall, Simple Setup

I don't normally provide reviews for products, but the McAfee firewall was an incredible find on the VMWare site. We are considering McAfee for our deskto security needs, and it was interesting to see that they have commercialized a virtual verison of an updated Sidewinder firewall. I had my team set it up and compare it to our existing Checkpoint appliance. What was interesting was the comprehensive feature set that they are providing in the virtual package. It includes the McAfee gateway AV, intrusion prevention, and a web filtering features. The guys were impressed by how they have simplified rule configuration in their management console. All rule attributes are located on a single screen. We have been testing the TrustedSource reputation feature and have already observed reduction in IDS detected scans on our network as well as reduced SPAM loads on our email gateway. It is pretty cheap so we licensed the full version an have been running it for almost 3 months in production.
