Andrew Dutton General Manager, Asia, Pacific and Japan (APJ)

Andrew Dutton joined VMware in March 2009 and leads business operations for the company’s Asia, Pacific and Japan (APJ) region, bringing more than 27 years of global management and sales experience across various industries, including IT and financial services. Dutton is responsible for strategic planning, business operations, go-to-market and management of key functions for the region, including sales, channels, services, finance and field marketing. Most recently Dutton worked at CA Technologies where he was senior vice president and general manager of International Business, responsible for sales and business operations throughout the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and APJ regions. Prior to CA Technologies, Dutton was senior vice president and general manager of EMEA for BEA Systems. He also spent 17 years at IBM in several different senior management positions, including vice president and general manager for IBM Software Group Asia Pacific, where he had responsibility for more than 3,000 software sales, marketing and support personnel across the APJ region. Dutton has also held CFO and CIO posts during his career. Dutton holds a bachelor of science degree from Sydney University.
