Dass alle Welt – von Freizeitgästen bis zu Kongress-Teilnehmern – diese Stadt so zahlreich besucht, ist auch einem effizienten Destinationsmarketing zu verdanken. Der WienTourismus als dafür verantwortliche Tourismusorganisation braucht dazu mobile Mitarbeiter, und diese verlangen von der IT gute Betreuung und mobilen Zugriff auf ihre Daten. Daher setzt das IT-Team des WienTourismus schon viele Jahre auf Virtualisierungslösungen von VMware. Jüngster Schritt war die Desktop-Virtualisierung mit VMware View.
