- In Vergleichen dürfen nur offizielle VMmark-Kriterien und Unterkriterien verwendet werden.
- Alle Wettbewerbsvergleiche mit VMmark-Kriterien müssen auch eine Aussage zur Vergleichsgrundlage und zum Durchführungsdatum enthalten. Ein veröffentlichter Vergleich kann beispielsweise angeben, dass ein VMmark-Ergebnis das Gesamtergebnis von Systemen mit vier Kernen ist, das am Veröffentlichungsdatum herausgegeben wurde.
- Vergleiche von VMmark-Kriterien und -Unterkriterien mit anderen Benchmark-Kriterien sind nicht zulässig. VMmark nutzt andere Benchmarking-Software zur Erzeugung von Workloads und erzeugt Ergebnisse, die nicht mit den ursprünglichen Benchmark-Werten vergleichbar sind.
