Providing medical images and information when and where they're needed is the mission of eMix (Electronic Medical Information Exchange). Instead of sending CDs with patients or setting up costly VPNs to transfer information between facilities, eMix lets medical facility subscribers forward information directly to medical staff. The system is hosted at iland on a VMware vSphere cloud infrastructure that supports HIPAA-compliant applications. The scalable platform is in a logically-separated, hosted private cloud and the eMix gateway is typically provided as a virtual machine. Transferring information and images over eMix when a patient goes straight to the operating room and bypasses emergency room re-diagnosis typically saves between $14,000 and $18,000.

Columbia Sportswear
Columbia Sportswear is the worldwide leader in outerwear and sportswear apparel and accessories. Based in Portland, Oregon, Columbia has over 4,000 employees and 50 locations (excluding retail space). Columbia Sportswear went from 25% virtual to over 96% virtual today. Subaru and Minivegas
Working with the marketing agency Carmichael Lynch, Subaru USA developed the online marketing campaign
www.firstcarstory.com. Minivegas Studio added the interactivity to this campaign with a unique video engine where visitors can input text, select images, and add music – all in real-time. The project requires fast online rendering during variable site traffic rates spurred by strategic media placements by Subaru. Minivegas Studio chose a VMware vCloud Powered Partner to provide the required real-time render capacity within a pay-as-you-go structure that can dynamically add processing power as needed. Oxford University is one of the oldest universities in the world. Their Computing Service (OUCS) needed to administer a secure database-as-a-service (DBaaS) solution to manage and share research data.
