Horizon (with View) Thin Client

The Horizon (with View) Thin Client program enables thin client manufacturers to work with VMware to ensure that their thin clients are compatible with Horizon (with View) solutions, whether integrating the Horizon (with View) Client binaries or a custom client developed to the specifications.

Upon successful completion of the Horizon (with View) Thin Client certification process and the execution of the applicable agreements with VMware, partners can market and leverage the VMware Ready™ logo in their marketing and sales efforts and gain the right to redistribute the Horizon (with View) Client software. VMware certified thin clients are posted on the VMware Compatibility Guide (VCG). This signifies joint support for end users that deploy certified thin clients with Horizon (with View) solutions.

Requirements

  • Currently be enrolled in the VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program at the Elite level.
  • For each region where the qualified product is sold, must maintain VMware Certified Professional status for technical support, as well as one VMware Salesperson and one VMware Technical Salesperson certification status.
  • VMware program agreement signature.
  • Adherence to product support requirements as documented in the program guide.
  • TSANet membership and an entry in the VMware custom TSANet portal.
  • Publish product on the VMware Solution Exchange.
  • General support on Horizon (with View) and vSphere features is purchased separately.

Horizon Mobile (Pilot)

VMware Horizon Mobile™ enables enterprises to securely customize and manage an employee’s corporate workspace in isolation from an employee’s personal environment on Android smartphones. This dual-persona solution provides greater security for corporate data and the ability to embrace employee owned mobile devices.

Horizon Mobile provides a wide range of features to enhance productivity by creating a purpose-built and preconfigured native mobile workspace based on employee responsibilities that is tied to the user, not the device. Horizon Mobile makes it easy for administrators to keep track of and manage mobile applications and devices through a web based portal. Security is seamlessly integrated with existing infrastructure to meet regulatory and compliance needs.

This Program enables independent hardware vendors (‘IHVs’) to qualify their Android mobile devices in order to support VMware Horizon Mobile. The VMware Ready logo signifies that your product and VMware software work well together to bring secure mobile device options to the enterprise. This Program is currently being run as a pilot within the VMware Ready program and participation will initially be limited to a few members; details are subject to change.

Requirements

  • Currently be enrolled in the VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program at the Elite level.
  • Be an IHV who produces Android mobile devices which meet the engineering requirements below.
  • Sign and abide by the Horizon Mobile Software License and Distribution Agreement or equivalent agreement, provided after due diligence is completed.
  • Members must meet the technical requirements listed in the Horizon Mobile Program guide.
  • Publish product on the VMware Solution Exchange.
