Curt Springstead, Business Solutions Strategist with VMware Accelerate Advisory Services, collaborates with customers to define and communicate their IT strategy to realize business goals and IT initiatives.

With more than 30 years’ experience in IT, Springstead brings a broad background developing and implementing IT strategies. He has held a variety of executive positions, including internal IT leader and consultant to Fortune 500 clients. As a result, he sees reducing the complexity of IT solutions as key to improving the service levels and business value delivered by technology. Prior to his current role, he served as Technology Director of CSC’s Metro NY Consulting Practice, where he managed development and delivery of large-scale business change across a wide range of industries.

Since joining VMware Accelerate Advisory Services in 2011, Springstead has produced several strategy realization plans for major U.S. clients in industries such as financial services, technology, public utilities and city government. In his most recent engagement at one of VMware’s largest commercial clients, he produced comprehensive strategies for a private cloud and virtual desktop that produced significant cost savings and business benefits that exceeded the client’s original requirements.

Springstead holds a master’s degree in engineering management and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
