Kenny McBride is Business Solutions Strategist, Financial Services, with VMware Accelerate Advisory Services. He helps customers articulate, document and define IT strategies that support and expedite business goals and objectives.
McBride has 30-plus years in the financial services sector, where he transitioned from senior front-office positions on trading floors to evangelizing technological solutions that meet the global business strategies for major institutions. For the 12 years prior to joining VMware, McBride led the financial services practices at Verizon Business and at Microsoft Corporation. While at Microsoft, his strategic thought leadership and execution capabilities were recognized with high placements in Institutional Investor magazine’s “Finance Top 40 Executives” in 2005 and 2006.
Since joining VMware Accelerate Advisory Services in 2010, McBride has shaped and led the creation of transformational IT strategies for a variety of major financial services and Fortune 250 firms. McBride led the VMware New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) Community Cloud partnership project, working closely with NYSE Technologies executive leadership to define the technology architecture and business model that would support the financial services industry’s first commercially available community cloud.
McBride holds ITIL certification and is a member of the Financial Markets Association.
