Swapan Ghosh ,Business Solutions Strategist for VMware Accelerate Advisory Services, works with customers to define and communicate their cloud strategies and align those strategies to customers’ business goals and IT initiatives.

Ghosh has 25 years’ experience in the IT industry. Before joining VMware, Ghosh held the position of Director of Strategy and Insights at Oracle Corporation, where he helped customers develop IT strategies and implementation roadmaps. Prior to joining Oracle, he was the founder and practice director for GSILogic Inc., an IT consulting company, and was a cofounder and chief technology officer for a software startup. Earlier, Ghosh held management positions in business development, product marketing and software development at KLA Tencor, NEC, Applied Materials and Tata Consultancy Services.

Since joining VMware Accelerate Advisory Services in 2011, Ghosh has worked with strategic customers in the high technology, manufacturing, healthcare and financial services industries. Ghosh developed an IT-as-a-service strategy and roadmap for a Fortune 100 high technology customer that is expected to save the company about $28 million in three years, increase the organization’s agility and improve customer relations. Ghosh is currently helping other strategic customers in their cloud adoption journeys.

Ghosh holds a master’s degree in business administration, specializing in marketing and international business, from Santa Clara University and a master’s degree in industrial engineering and management from the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, India.
