VMware is working with Oracle to optimize the total cost of ownership, manageability, and hardware infrastructure cost for our customers deploying Oracle in VMware virtual infrastructure environments.
Partnership Activities:
Oracle and VMware collaborate on driving best practices and pre-installed pre-configured environments to customers. Our joint customers use Oracle and VMware virtual infrastructure to achieve hardware containment, cost savings, dynamic rightsizing, and increased flexibility.
Oracle Support
Oracle maintains specific VMware support clarification for the majority of products distributed by Oracle. Our joint customers are requested to consult their respective Oracle technical support channels (eg Metalink, etc) for up-to-date product support status from Oracle.
Customer Support:
Customer support is paramount to the Oracle VMware relationship. Oracle and VMware have in place a joint customer support agreement as well as participation in TSANet to enables customer support issues to be transferred between the two partners.
