IT organizations are faced with the daunting task of having to migrate their desktop environment to Windows 7 as Windows XP availability and support are squeezed. One of the first tasks in the migration journey for IT is to ensure the compatibility of critical business applications. With VMware ThinApp, customers can start their desktop migration by building in application compatibility using ThinApp's agentless application virtualization technology.

To help you get started, VMware is pleased to announce the VMware ThinApp New Year Promotion. For every qualifying order that includes at least one product from the Eligible Products list, you will receive one ThinApp New Year Promotion Bundle at no additional charge which consists of the following:

  1. One (1) license of the VMware ThinApp Packager 4.5
  2. Ten (10) licenses of the VMware ThinApp Client 4.5
  3. One (1) year of Gold Support and Subscription

Terms and Conditions

  • Promotion is valid for qualifying orders fulfilled by VMware between December 20, 2009 and March 15, 2010.
  • Your free bundle must be redeemed by May 30, 2010.
  • Gold Support and Subscription ("SnS") for year 1 is included for no additional charge as part of promotion. After year 1, customer may renew their SnS at the then-current list price.
  • Start date for SnS will be the date on which the promotional licenses are made available to the customer.
  • One ThinApp New Year Promotion Bundle fulfilled per order, not to exceed five (5) per customer during the promotional period.
  • Prices for Eligible Products may vary if purchased through resellers or in different regions. Please contact your authorized VMware reseller for pricing information.
  • Promotion offer not available for purchases by OEM partners.
  • ThinApp New Year Promotion Bundle is fulfilled via your licensing portal. To start using your VMware ThinApp 4.5 promotion licenses, please follow these steps:
    1. Log into the VMware License Portal to retrieve your VMware ThinApp 4.5 license.
    2. Download VMware ThinApp 4.5.
    3. When prompted, enter your new license key in VMware ThinApp 4.5.

Promotional Period

Eligible purchases from December 20, 2009 – March 15, 2010. Your free bundle must be redeemed by May 30, 2010. Customers will receive their promotional licenses upon the public availability of ThinApp version 4.5.

Eligible Products

VMware vSphere products in the vSphere product family, VMware vCenter products in the vCenter product family, VMware View and VMware ThinApp.

Promotion Availability

This promotion is available to all customers who make a qualifying purchase from a VMware authorized reselling partner, from the VMware website or directly from VMware. Exception:This promotion is not available for OEM partners ordering directly from VMware. Check with your VMware authorized reselling partner for promotion eligibility.
