Overview
The VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program offers several levels of membership for partners large and small who want to engage with VMware on everything from hardware certification to virtual appliances. Read below for details on each membership package.
Access Partners
This entry-level program is designed for companies looking to establish a basic technology partnership with VMware. Examples of Access-level partners include vendors who want to validate their product on the VMware platform, and organizations that simply want to access to one of the other sub-offerings within the TAP program.
Select Partners
This program level is designed for companies looking to establish a closer relationship with VMware. TAP members and the Select level receive software for testing or creating a lab and standard technical support, as well as additional technical support for technology integration. VMware also provides a host of marketing tools and benefits to help TAP Select partners promote their solutions to the market.
Premier Partners
This level is designed for companies who are market leaders and/or rely specifically on the VMware infrastructure for a large part of their revenue stream. Generally, these are well-established companies in the virtualization market who are looking to establish a closer relationship with VMware. Premier partners receive extended technical and marketing support with named technical support contacts, along with support for developing specific go-to-market plans, along with an increased number of VMware software licenses for testing and integration.
Global Partners
This level is for global market leaders who use the VMware product line strategically as part of their overall product offerings to customers. These companies are authorized to ship our products with their hardware or software directly to the customer. They build specific go-to-market plans with VMware and require a deep level of technical support to grow and maintain their business with VMware.
