Membership Levels and Fees
The TAP Program offers two levels of membership. Partners can join at either level upon agreeing to Terms and Conditions and payment of membership fees. New members have one year to meet the requirements for each level.
The Access Level is ideal for partners starting to develop new solutions that take advantage of the VMware platform. Benefits at this level include a VMware software license bundle to verify your products on the VMware platform, access to training discounts, NDA roadmap sessions and marketing opportunities in the VMware Solution Exchange. Annual membership fee is $750.
The Elite level is ideal for partners looking to take the next step and engage more fully with VMware to develop and deliver solutions. TAP Elite members receive benefits designed to enable partners to learn, build and deploy their solutions on VMware platforms as well as provide support to mutual customers. There is a $7,500 annual fee to join this level and partners are required to have at least one VMware Technical Sales Professional (VTSP) or VMware Certified Professional (VCP) on staff by the end of their first year of membership.
This level is by invitation only, and typically suited for large companies who already have significant sales relationship with VMware. Alliances with Global level partners are managed by named alliance and technical alliance managers. Benefits are customized for members at this level and are therefore not explicitly called out here or in the TAP Program Guide.
