Create Your Test Plan
Most test plans for virtual environments are very similar to plans for physical servers. We have created a sample test plan for ISVs based on our own experiences in the lab, and strongly encourage you to review and use it to make your own preparations.
Publish your Deployment Guide
Create a deployment guide describing the best way to deploy your applications on the VMware virtualization platform. Review our template of a deployment guide for ideas. You might also want to add an appendix about virtualization deployment to your existing documentation.
Submit Your Documents for Review
VMware would like to support your self-validation efforts, and our staff is ready to review your test plan and deployment guide if you wish to submit them. We will respond within three business days with feedback and any suggested changes to the documents. Once we receive your test plan and/or deployment guide, we will provide our contact information and you will be able to submit questions that may come up during the effort.
