Management Solutions

The Management Program is open to qualified partners interested in building and certifying management applications for VMware’s Management platform. The types of management applications include a variety of integration points such as vSphere Management and vCenter Orchestrator. The SDKs for these integrations are provided publicly in VMware’s Developer Community. The partner must join the Management program in order to certify their solution and receive the VMware Ready logo. Please note that certifications are available for a subset of management APIs.

The program allows partners to certify their management integrations with VMware’s platform. The partner uses the tools provided by the program for both new integrations and maintaining existing integrations. The applications created and certified via this program are released and supported by the partners. The certified applications can be listed on the VMware Solution Exchange as VMware Ready.

Requirements

  • VMware program agreement signature.
  • Adherence to product support requirements as documented in the program guide.
  • TSANet membership and an entry in the VMware custom TSANet portal.
  • General support on vSphere features is purchased separately.
  • Initial program fee, developer consulting fee and additional per certification fees.

vCenter Orchestrator Plug-Ins

The VMware Ready vCenter Orchestrator Plug-in Program offers a comprehensive set of tools and resources to help vendors develop and certify vCenter Orchestrator plug-ins for their products. VMware vCenter Orchestrator plug-ins extend the vCenter Orchestrator workflow engine with new object types and methods that automate repeatable tasks across VMware and partner technologies. This provides customers with rich integration and automation technology that lower the initial acquisition and ongoing operating costs of joint solutions. vCenter Orchestrator plug-ins provide a competitive edge to the vendor that develops and distributes them.

Use of the VMware Ready logo in association with vCenter Orchestrator plug-ins signifies that the vCenter Orchestrator Plug-In has met VMware standards defined in the VMware Ready vCenter Orchestrator Plug-in Program Guide. A copy of the guide may be obtained by contacting tapalliance@vmware.com.

Requirements

  • Currently be enrolled in the VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program at the Elite level.
  • TSANet membership and an entry in the VMware custom TSANet portal.
  • Partners are required to package their certified plug-ins in the form of a DAR file, upload it to their site, and provide a link to VMware.
  • Ensure the vCO Plug-in passes the vCO Plug-in certification. vCO Plug-ins must meet the current requirements as documented in the VMware Ready vCenter Orchestrator Program Guide. A copy of the guide may be obtained by contacting tapalliance@vmware.com.
  • Partners are required to post their certified plug-in on the VMware Solution Exchange (VSX). All VMware Ready vCO plug-ins will receive the VMware Ready logo on the VMware Solution Exchange.
