Compare VMware vSphere & vSphere with Operations Management Pricing
The pricing and licensing model for vSphere & vSphere with Operations Management is broken into two categories known as kits and editions. Kits are all-in-one offerings that delivery all the necessary licenses and features/functionality required to getting virtualization running in an environment. Kits have defined limits depending on the type of kit purchased. Editions are a la carte offerings generally designed for larger IT environments with a broader set of requirements. These offerings have broader entitlements as well. Please see each section below for specific details.

Prices listed for licenses only, Production and Basic Subscription and Support (SnS), and Incident Support (for vSphere Essentials Kit) are sold separately. Paid upgrades are available for all vSphere and vSphere with Operations Management offerings below to all higher kits or editions.
VMware vSphere with Operations Management Editions
A la carte licensing that is priced on a per CPU basis. All editions must be used in conjunction with an existing or separately purchased vCenter Server edition. SnS is required for at least one year.
