How do I get VMware vCenter Orchestrator? Is there an extra cost for this functionality?

vCenter Orchestrator is packaged with vCenter Server (standard edition) and requires no additional cost to run in your environment. Once you have vCenter Server installed, you will have the ability to configure and use Orchestrator. 

Does vCenter Orchestrator come with Lifecycle Manager?

No, Lifecycle Manager is a separately licensed VMware product. It does require that Orchestrator is installed and running in order to function.

Does VMware have any suggestions for how to best use Orchestrator?

vCenter Orchestrator has detailed documentation available on the support site. In addition, VMware recommends that administrators try the out of the box workflows through the web client interface.

Can I customize vCenter Orchestrator to do something very specific for my environment?

Yes, this can be done with vCenter Orchestrator. VMware recommends customers engage with the VMware technical services organization in order to scope and implement projects correctly.
