VMware Ready for Application Director Blueprints Program

The VMware Ready for Application Director Blueprints program offers a comprehensive set of tools and resources to help vendors develop and certify Application Director Blueprints (as well as Services, Script Tasks, VM Templates) for various products. Application Director is an application provisioning, update lifecycle and release automation solution designed specifically to help application teams to accelerate and automate the deployment of applications across the cloud. For the end customers to use Application Director there is a need to have rich content of various products that can be deployed in the cloud. To develop this content, it is important to leverage the partner ecosystem. The purpose of this program is to help the partner ecosystem develop Blueprints and have them certified to be endorsed by VMware.

Use of the VMware Ready logo in association with Application Director Blueprint signifies that the blueprint has met VMware standards defined in the VMware Ready for Application Director Blueprints Program Guide. A copy of the guide may be obtained by contacting tapalliance@vmware.com.

To be eligible to use the VMware Ready logo and also have presence in the VMware Compatibility Guide in association with Application Director Blueprints, partners must:

• Establish and maintain membership in the VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program at the Access Level.
• Provide cooperative support for the qualifying Blueprints through TSANet.
• Comply with all sections of the Partner Product Support policy as outlined in the VMware Ready for Application Director Blueprints Program Guide.
• Post product listing on the VMware Solution Exchange
• Certify the Blueprints listed in VMware Solution Exchange
• Maintain Application Director Blueprints by fixing bugs and security issues.
• Re-certify the Blueprints to support new configurations.

• Blueprints must meet the current requirements as documented in the VMware Ready for Application Director Blueprints Program Guide. A copy of the guide may be obtained by contacting tapalliance@vmware.com
• Ensure the Application Director Blueprint passes the certification as stated in the VMware Ready for Application Director Blueprints Certification Guide.

Partners are required to list their Solution on the VMware Solution Exchange and include an import page which will allow a customer to import the Blueprint into their own Application Director instance.
