Description

vSphere 4.1 introduces a number of exciting new features and enhancements for virtual networking. Network I/O Control (NetIOC) privides customizable isolation, prioritization and protection for vSphere traffic types at times of network congestion and is particularly applicable to environments converging traffic to dual 10GigE adapters. Load Based Teaming is another traffic management feature that dynamically adjusts and balances the traffic load over the network interfaces to maximize performance and optimally use the available network resources. vSphere 4.1 also increases support for IPv6 with full compliance of the NIST Host Profile.Virtual network performance is improved and scaling limits are also markedly increased.
