Description

This paper describes a detailed performance analysis of the Zimbra Collaboration Server on VMware vSphere 5. The goals of this paper are to measure and optimize the scale-up performance of Zimbra Collaboration Server in a four– and eight–virtual CPU (vCPU) virtual machine and compare the results with those of a native Zimbra environment, compare the performance of Zimbra Collaboration Server with Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 in a similar configuration, and measure and optimize the scale-out performance of Zimbra Collaboration Server from one to eight 4-vCPU virtual machines.
