Franck Besnard, Business Solutions Architect for VMware Accelerate Advisory Services in EMEA, works directly with VMware clients to understand their existing IT environments and help create solutions that address current needs while preparing for future requirements during their cloud journeys.
Besnard has more than 13 years’ expertise in the IT industry. Prior to joining VMware, he was senior IT architect at IBM, where he supported customers in the banking, telecommunications and energy sectors. His background in IT service management and cloud technology enabled him to help his customers in their on-going transformations. He also has extensive experience in application development, analytics, “big data,” collaboration and service-oriented architectures.
Prior to his position at IBM, he was technical services director at Micromuse and Tivoli in France and the Benelux countries, managing a large team of senior IT architects and consultants and supporting the sales team in those regions. He also worked closely with partners and system integrators.
Besnard holds a master's degree in engineering from the Ecole Centrale Paris. He is also an ITIL-certified professional and holds patents in complex event processing.
