Hill has over 20 years’ experience in IT, working in both the technology and financial services sectors. Prior to joining VMware, he spent nine years with Deutsche Bank in its IT architecture and engineering group, where he started and ran its global cloud program. He lead specific initiatives involving portfolio project management and end user strategy development and ran the company’s global enterprise management engineering group. In addition, he sat on the bank's end user and virtualization strategy groups, helping to drive initiatives focused on supporting business growth and cost optimization.
