Rob Jenkins leads VMware Accelerate Advisory Services across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), where VMware Accelerate Advisory Services has emerged as an authority on cloud benchmarking, solution value analysis and client cloud strategy.
Jenkins has a background in sales, development, support, consulting and solutions team development and management for systems integrators and hardware and software vendors. He has over 20 years’ experience in the IT industry, specifically within product support, technical solution architecture, business intelligence and sales management. Prior to joining VMware, Jenkins cofounded the business intelligence firm Purple Insight, where he negotiated investments and acquisitions and designed product architecture. Previously, he spent eight years at Silicon Graphics, managing the professional services, presales and customer education groups.
Before being named EMEA Executive, Jenkins was director, VMware Professional Services Organization (PSO) for NEMEA. In that role, he ensured that customers were successfully implementing their business plans from adoption all the way through to a fully functioning, virtualized datacenter.
As EMEA Executive for Accelerate Advisory Services, he ensures that his team collaborates with customers throughout EMEA to define and communicate their IT strategy with strong alignment to business goals.
Jenkins has spoken at industry and media events on a number of topics including cloud strategy and business relevance, solution architecture, scalable delivery and scientific and collaborative visualization.
