VMware vCenter Orchestrator Plug-In for vSphere Auto Deploy 5.1 Release Notes
What's in the Release NotesThe release notes cover the following topics:
Introduction to the VMware vCenter Orchestrator Plug-In for vSphere Auto DeployThe VMware vCenter Orchestrator Plug-in for vSphere Auto Deploy allows organizations to simplify and reduce the time that stateless ESXi hosts take to boot. vSphere Auto Deploy maintains ESXi host profiles and facilitates the provisioning of ESXi with PXE boot on physical hosts, thus bringing stateless capabilities to ESXi. The vSphere Auto Deploy plug-in includes many out-of-the box workflows to automate tasks such as managing host mapping rules and provisioning ESXi hosts. This allows organizations to automate the provisioning of additional virtual capacity without requiring any human intervention. The plug-in also offers workflows for operations such as retrieving the relationships between hosts and rules or host profiles, allowing administrators to understand the impact of rule changes. The VMware vCenter Orchestrator Plug-In for vSphere Auto Deploy 5.1 release runs on VMware vCenter Orchestrator 5.1 and requires vCenter Server 5.1. For instructions about installing and configuring the plug-in, see the Using the VMware vCenter Orchestrator Plug-In for vSphere Auto Deploy 1.0.x.
