Along with our comprehensive web-based support resources such as the Knowledge Base and VMware Communities, the following support offerings are available:
Complimentary Support
Email support for VMware Fusion and VMware Fusion Professional is offered for 18 months after product registration or until product end of life. Submit support requests either online or via phone; responses are targeted within one business day.
Per Incident Support
Purchase support as you need it for VMware Fusion and VMware Fusion Professional. Individual incident support is conveniently sold in 1, 3 or 5 incident packs. Submit support requests either online or via phone; responses are targeted within one business day.
Basic Support
VMware Basic Support offers VMware Fusion Professional customers access to our global support centers, 12 hours a day, 5 days a week, including unlimited support requests and subscription services for 1 or 3 year periods.
Please note that a minimum of 10 Fusion Professional licences are required to purchase Basic Support.
Production Support
VMware Production Support offers VMware Fusion Professional customers access to our global support centers, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for Severity 1 issues, including unlimited support requests and subscription services for 1 or 3 year periods.
Please note that a minimum of 10 Fusion Professional licences are required to purchase Production Support.

Your complimentary email support starts when you register VMware Fusion. All customers must register the serial / license key to get access to complimentary email support.
The Desktop Software Lifecycle Policy is the guideline that dictates how long a product release will be supported by VMware.
With VMware Fusion 5, Desktop Standard Support is no longer available and has been replaced by Basic Support. Upon expiration of your Desktop Standard Support contract, you can request a renewal quote to switch your contract to Basic Support in the Support Contract History section of the My VMware portal.
You can also Contact Support by Phone by using one of our worldwide toll-free numbers to contact VMware Technical Support Contract Renewals. Please have your postal/zip code ready to expedite the transfer to the renewals representative that manages your area.
Evaluation users can get help through the VMware Fusion Community. Evaluation users are not eligible for complimentary email support.
Your complimentary license has a full support entitlement from McAfee. Please contact McAfee for support.
