- How do I check which version of VMware Fusion I am running?
From the VMware Fusion menu, select About VMware Fusion, and the version and build number will be displayed in the "about" box.
- What does the serial / license key to activate my license look like?
The VMware Fusion license key for version 3.x is a 25 character alpha-numeric code.
- Example: AALYG-20HVE-WHQ13-67MUP-XVMF3
The VMware Fusion license key for version 1.x and 2.x is a 20 character alpha-numeric code.
- Example: AALYG-20HVE-WHQ13-67MUP
- Where do I go to see my order information, licenses, support requests etc?
You can access and manage your account from one central location, from order information to support contracts to products evaluations. To access your account, go here: www.vmware.com/accounts.
- I purchased a Site Support contract but now I see Desktop Standard Support, what does this mean to me?
The support offering previously named "Site Support" has been updated to be called "Desktop Standard Support". There is no action required on your part. The new "Desktop Standard Support" name will now appear in all marketing materials, VMware portals and in future communications regarding your VMware Fusion support and subscription contract.
You can continue to log into the VMware Support Portal to file a support request. You will now see Desktop Standard Support in your support entitlements table.
Managing My Profile and Password
- How do I create a new profile?
You can create a new profile from this page: www.vmware.com/account/login.do. You will receive an email confirmation. (Please check your junk-mail folder if you do not receive it right away.)
- How do I change my password?
You can reset your password from this page: www.vmware.com/account/login.do. You will receive an email with a temporary password. (Please check your junk-mail folder if you do not receive it right away You can then choose a new password once you have logged into the system. If the newly emailed password does not work please contact VMware Customer Service.
- I am trying to log in and it tells me I have an "invalid" password.
If you cannot remember your password you can reset your password from this page: www.vmware.com/account/login.do. You will receive an email with a temporary password. (Please check your junk-mail folder if you do not receive it right away. You can then choose a new password once you have logged into the system. If the newly emailed password does not work please contact VMware Customer Service.
