VMware VirtualCenter 1.3.x Support DocumentationFeatures | Documentation | Knowledge Base | Discussion Forums Starting the VirtualCenter Installer for a First Time InstallationThis section describes how to install VirtualCenter on your system when there is no other VirtualCenter installation present. 1. Download the VirtualCenter installer file from the VMware secure Web site to a local drive. Contact your VMware representative for information on the location of the secure Web site. 2. Run the installer. Double-click the VMware installation icon or select Start > Run and enter the location of the installer in the Run window. The VirtualCenter installer prepares to install the components. 3. If you do not have Microsoft .NET Framework version 1.1 on your machine, a prompt appears to ask if you wish to install it. If you click Yes, then the installer automatically installs this package. If you have installed an older version, then the installer automatically upgrades your version to version 1.1. Accept the VMware license terms. Click the Accept button, then click Next. 6. Enter your customer identification information. Enter your user name and company name.
