Server Hardware Certification

By certifying server products with the VMware Ready Certification Program partners gain the benefit of a VMware Compatibility Guide (VCG) posting. Using VMware Workbench for ESX/ESXi certifications, partners can obtain VCG posting quickly and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Currently be enrolled in the VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program at the Elite level.
  • For each region where the qualified product is sold, must maintain VMware Certified Professional status for technical support, as well as one VMware Salesperson and one VMware Technical Salesperson certification status.
  • VMware program agreement signature.
  • Adherence to product support requirements as documented in the program guide.
  • TSANet membership and an entry in the VMware custom TSANet portal.
  • Publish product on the VMware Solution Exchange.
  • General support on vSphere features is purchased separately.
  • Purchase of VMware Certification Support incident packs, available in quantities of 1, 3, or 20.

Virtual Shared Graphics Acceleration

VMware vSGA Program offers Partners a comprehensive set of tools, resources, and processes needed to develop, certify and release GPU device drivers (SW Modules) for VMware ESXi Host. This Program is targeted for graphics IHVs (Independent Hardware Vendors) and their Server OEM’s. This is a worldwide Program available to any qualified VMware Technical Alliance Partner (“TAP”) Program member at Elite or Global level. The term of the Program is 1 year, at which time it is renewed automatically unless explicitly terminated.

Requirements

  • Currently be enrolled in the VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program at the Elite level.
  • VMware program agreement signature.
  • Adherence to product support requirements as documented in the program guide.
  • TSANet membership and an entry in the VMware custom TSANet portal.
  • Participate in business and technical due diligence with VMware as part of membership application evaluation. Due diligence is required for new products, and partners should obtain explicit agreement for each new product certification.
  • Complete the Device Certification Process as defined in the VMware Ready for vSGA Program Guide to get your devices certified as applicable, depending on the category the device falls under.
  • Publish product on the VMware Solution Exchange.

I/O Devices

Use of the VMware Ready logo in association with the I/O Vendor Partner products offers partners the benefit of communicating to end users about qualifying I/O devices that have been confirmed to work with VMware vSphere and VMware ESXi. Qualifying products are posted in the VMware Compatibility Guide and on the VMware Solution Exchange as an IHV product.

Requirements

  • Currently be enrolled in the VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program at the Elite level.
  • VMware program agreement signature.
  • Adherence to product support requirements as documented in the program guide.
  • TSANet membership and an entry in the VMware custom TSANet portal.
  • Maintain good standing as a member of the VMware IOVP program in order to satisfy engineering requirements.
  • Complete the IOVP certification process so that the I/O product is listed on the VMware Compatibility Guide for VMware vSphere and VMware ESXi as a certified product.
  • I/O products pass VMware Device Certification as defined under the IOVP Program Guide.
  • Provide Post Release Support as defined in the IOVP Program Guide for the I/O product(s) identified with the VMware Ready logo.
  • Publish product on the VMware Solution Exchange.
