Getting Started:

1. Start NeDiVA and login with Username: admin and Password: nediva

2. Assign an IP address and specify DNS servers for NeDiVA. System > Administration > Networking (This step is not necessary if you are using DHCP on your network)

3. Edit the "nedi.conf" file on the desktop by double-clicking on the "nedi.conf" icon. Add your own SNMP read-only passwords and telnet login credentials in the section labeled "Device Access".

4. Manually start an initial discovery by double-clicking on the desktop icon labeled "Start a manual discovery". A discovery process will take about [(15 seconds) x (Number of Network Devices)] to complete. You do NOT need to use this icon after the initial run because a discovery will automatically run every 4 hours.

5. Use FireFox to login to your Nedi installation with Username: admin and Password: nediva . To access the web-interface from the network, use the IP address of the NeDiVA box. (Example: https://192.168.1.2/html/ - Replace the IP address with the correct one)

6. If you do not see any devices in the web-interface after a discovery has been run: Edit the file called "seedlist" on the desktop and list the IP addresses of your devices. Run another manual discovery.

7. Optional: Configure your devices to send syslog messages and SNMP traps to the IP address of NeDiVA
