On May 8, 2017, OVH, a global hyper-scale cloud provider, completed its previously announced acquisition of the VMware vCloud® Air™ business. OVH is one of the largest infrastructure-as-a-service providers in the world and a long-time vCloud Air Network partner.
OVH will operate the new service as vCloud Air Powered by OVH, leveraging VMware’s hybrid cloud technology. They will partner closely with VMware on go-to-market and support for the three proven vCloud® Air™ use cases: data center extension, data center consolidation, and data center recovery.
Together VMware and OVH will ensure a seamless transition of the appropriate product and support entitlements, and will continue providing on-going support and services to vCloud® Air™customers. For now, please continue using the existing VMware processes, tools, and access methods listed below for your sales, support, and renewals needs.
