We’re always looking for seasoned IT and business leaders with a unique perspective and a strong voice. Here’s what you need to know to contribute.
How to Submit an Article Proposal
We welcome proposals for short-form and long-form articles and opinion pieces. Also, proposals for video content, slides, infographics, and other forms of visual content are highly encouraged.
To send us an article proposal, please fill out our Contact Us form. Keep in mind that we require four to six weeks to complete the editorial review process, so please plan your proposal accordingly.
Acceptance of proposals and manuscripts is at the sole discretion of the CIO Vantage editorial team. Submissions are evaluated by our editorial team for informational value, timeliness, and quality. They may be edited for length, clarity, tone, and audience appeal. Submissions that are of a purely promotional or commercial nature will not be accepted. VMware reserves the right to reject any submitted content for any reason, or no reason, and to review or request changes to all submissions.
We very much appreciate the time that’s required to prepare an article proposal. Because of the volume of inquiries we receive, we are not able to respond to each one. However, we do read them all and we will do our best to respond in a timely manner.
If Your Proposal Is Accepted
We will work with you to create a schedule for submission of the completed draft and revisions. VMware will hold the copyright on the finished article; authors maintain ownership of the ideas expressed in their articles.
Accepted articles require a featured image—either a photograph or high-quality abstract digital art. These images should be 1454 pixels x 694 pixels at 72 dpi, in either PNG or JPG format, and should contain as little text as possible. In addition, any inline graphics can be up to 1454 pixels wide at 72 dpi.
Terms of Publication
Contributors of content grant VMware an unrestricted worldwide royalty-free license to reproduce, either in whole or in part, any submitted content. Should VMware accept and publish submitted content, the contributor further agrees to indemnify and hold harmless VMware from any claim from any third party as related to such submitted content.
